Wow... now that we have the doors open and our first Xmas under the belt it's time to introduce ourselves to the township of Woolgoolga. Greenside is the brainchild of my wife Rebecca and her business partner Nikki. The girls at Botanicus Boutique had outgrown their little space next to Jeds Bakery and Bluebottles. I was recently medically retired and had time and energy. We renovated the old Woolgoolga News agency and what you see now is the result.
In my youth I was a professional swimmer and represented Australian Institute of Sport, Queensland and Australia. My love of the water later morphed into all things ocean and surfing.
Why open a high end surf and adventure store? The retail industry and surf industry are really tough. - I'm nearing retirement not starting out. In my policing days I specialised in Weapons training, SWAT and tactical team training. Sourcing good equipment to get a job done was part of everyday work.
I've taken this aspect and applied it to souring only high end products for Greenside Surf and Adventure. This has resulted in not necessarily the most expensive but rather the "Best bang for your buck $" approach. Most if not all Greenside brands this method applies.
