About Bob;
Bob had the cover photo on the first issue of Bob Evans Surfing World magazine in 1962 and was the photographer for Jack Eden’s Surf about magazine which also launched in 1962.
His surfing images have been reproduced in many magazines and surfing books since including the classic Surfing in the Sixties published in late 2016 which included over 100 of Bobs images. After many surf trips up the north coast of NSW and into southern Queensland in the winter time, Bob became addicted to the the warm ocean water and uncrowded waves.
In 1966 Bob and his long time girlfriend Dianne were married. After their daughter Fiona was born in 1970 Bob realised that it was now time to move to the warm waters of the north coast.
Bob and his family moved to Woolgoolga in 1971.
